AFRP - Pacific Grove
All of the rabbits in our care are located at Posh Pets in Pacific Grove or are currently in foster care. Please stop in to Posh Pets to see the bunnies in person or contact us to set up an appointment to meet a rabbit currently in foster care.

These rabbits were rescued from animal shelters because they were at risk of being euthanized due to space and time restraints at the shelters. In rare cases, we accept rabbits from the public if we feel they are in immidiate danger.

All of the rabbits in our care are spayed/neutered and have been examined by a vet at the Avian and Exotic Clinic in Monterey. The adoption fee ($65 for a single, $100 for a pair) is only to cover the cost of the animal's care & vet bills. We make no profit off of the adoption.

AFRP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Corp. TAX ID NO. 77-0491141

The Rabbit Haven - Santa Cruz

Rabbit Haven's ultimate goal is the permanent placement of our rabbits in safe, loving homes.  Adoption counseling, visitation, and education services are available to the general public.  We require that all rabbit caretakers provide permanent homes, a safe environment, proper food, grooming, medical attention, and the love and support essential to the rabbit's well-being.  We recommend that all rabbits be kept indoors and that they be allowed to live with the family and not apart (i.e., set aside in a back yard hutch).

Rabbit Haven only adopts to families who agree to keep rabbits indoors. Outside arrangements are discouraged due to early lack of social setting, early deaths caused by exposure to disease agents, and predators that may harm the rabbit.  All new adoptive families receive discount coupons from area pet supply retailers, and an informative information packet.

To view all of the rabbits available at the Rabbit Haven, please visit  The Rabbit Haven

The Rabbit Haven is a 501 c3 non-profit educational organization.
